Program of the workshops

This year, the Master Class group (16. July - 20. July 2018) will be directed by a Spanish performer and a creator of minimalistic objects David Espinosa. Along with the course participants, he will explore the simplicity and creativity of objects and try to find the relationship between shape, light and sound.

The other group will traditionally divided into two parts: from 16.-17. July 2018 with the lectors Igor Urzelai and Moreno Solinas whose workshop will mainly focus on the moving body and immediate action. 

18. - 20. July 2018, the workshop will be led by Diana Ashbee, who is a very distinct personality in contemporary art,  is known for her radical work on the edge between dance and performance and received many international awards.

Idea: 

The educative program Performing Arts for the Future is a project of 3 workshops for young artists and students from all over Europe. The inspiring idea is to create conditions for meeting of emerging artists with new theather legends. All participants of the workshops have free entry for the festival productions and they form the core of the festival. Participants are actively involved into the festival events and use the opportunity to build contacts for future cooperation.

We are offering:

  • To spend a summer week as a part of International festival Zero Point 2015 with the legends of performing arts and actively participate in their workshops
  • Meeting the young generation with authorities of performing arts
  • Passing on experience, creation work, and thinking to young artists
  • Maintain the fragile continuity in performing arts through a unique poetics of individual artists
  • Contacts, creating conditions for future cooperation, both at European level
  • Meeting with other artistic genres and different approaches as a prompt for further artistic work
  • The participants of the Master Class  workshops will have an opportunity to present their work in program of the festival
