Volker Gerling - Portraits in Motion

About the performance:

Volker Gerling is a passionate creator of photographic flipbooks and a fearless traveler. But this is not the only reason why his performance Portraits in Motion became an overnight sensation at the Fringe festival in Edinburgh and was hopelessly sold out in just a few hours. Volker Gerling mixed a theatrical cocktail from primitive and archetypal ingredients: memories, photographic capture of the moment, ingenuous truth, and a simple narrative. The result is breathtaking. The spectator witnesses revealing of reality that begins to be hidden under the onslaught of various technologies. Audiences in 16 countries and at the world's largest and most prestigious festivals were able to see this enchanted moment.
